Success...
Success, for me, is knowing I've understood and created "me" to the best of my current ability with each circumstance and moment LIFE has presented. This involves doing my absolute best to take each "right" step I've been asked to take, no matter how strange or what I've had to feel or face as a result and then using each step to increase my understanding of me. The process of self-creation on which I've embarked requires a union of my parts and faces... pulling them together with understanding into a smoothly functioning unit ... When I work internally in this way, with whatever LIFE sends, I also know I've made best use of the resources I've been given, regardless of how it looks or feels in any particular moment. As I grow, my best "me" must be revised and changed, so my "best" doesn't always feel so "good", but knowing that at each moment it has been my best is enough. As long as I keep working to do my best, I know my best will keep improving... Working with whatever LIFE sends to create a "me" whose parts can each play their special and unique role within my "greater self " and who work together with increasing understanding, harmony and co-operation to do what is asked and explore what is necessary so I can better understand "me" and LIFE is what matters MOST! Like cleaning a house, this process of self-creation can be HARD and DIFFICULT, but ends up, like living in a freshly cleaned house to feel SO GOOD! I feel increasingly proud to be ME and happy to live the life I've been given in spite of its strangeness! How my life looks or feels or what any part or "me" as a whole has to feel or face in any particular moment, isn't as important as the kind of "self" I'm creating long-term and the ability I'm cultivating to work constructively with ALL of LIFE's moments no matter what they are or might be! This kind of success is neither measurable nor necessarily visible to anyone else.
However, this is just my version of success and what I try to reflect in my choices for each moment I live. Since we are all individuals with our own unique perspective or "take" on LIFE, there are as many versions of success as there are people... What is your version and how is your kind of success reflected in the choices you make moment by moment as you live your life??? One's ideas about success also seem to have a great deal to do with where one places value as well as why it is placed there... so exploring ideas about value can also assist in understanding success... I've found pondering questions like this to really assist my understanding of me, perhaps the same is true for you...
